1956-1974 - Saab Sonett. Sonett I (1956) Unofficially known as the Saab 94, the Sonett Super Sport was an eye-catching two-seater sports car intended for competition use ('sonett' is Swedish for 'how nice'). Only six were ever built.
The Saab Sonett was a series of coupes introduced in 1955. Originally, the Sonett was created as a prototype for a racing series, yet only six examples were made as the program was dropped. These early cars are known as the Sonett I , and served as the inspiration for a sporty looking coupe introduced in 1966 and known as the Sonett II .
